WHAT DOes CHALK TALK SCIENCE offer?

Working with professional speakers, standup comics, adult educators, and experienced researchers, Dennis helps groups establish, grow and maintain oral science storytelling programs in three ways.

Advice and Guidance … for undergraduate/graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty mentors, university administrators, and professional science organizations on how to set up and run science storytelling learning programs. He uses years of experience as a scientist, professional speaker and adult educator to provide instruction on presenting workshops that meet the needs of your organization. Although some advice can be provided by phone, email or video, in most cases, it is better for Dennis to visit your institution and spend enough time in order to design and present a program that is best for your group.

Workshops and Courses … that teach how to tell science stories as well as teach others to become good storytellers. These workshops are hosted by university, research centers, or corporations wanting their students, staff and faculty to become better speakers through storytelling.

The CTS Program will help integrate science storytelling into the career development plan of all researchers. He ...
